Destination Wedding Photography Washington DC | Going Coastal in Portland
In our previous post, you got to see Part I of Ben and Stephanie’s seaside wedding on beautiful Little Diamond Island off the coast of Portland, Maine. With a name like “Little Diamond,” you can probably guess that this is a great location for sparkling destination weddings. It truly is the perfect blend of relaxation and beauty!
In Part I, you got to see the first half of the wedding story: wedding day setup, the heartwarming vows, the romantic first kiss. But what you didn’t get to see was the perfectly decorated venue filled with happy faces.
The people are the ones who make the venue – and the entire wedding weekend for that matter – so special. We loved photographing the bright shades of blue and orange that stood out against the dark waves and rocky shoreline. We had fun with the festive bobbers, bouys, oars, and paper lanterns that filled the boathouse venue. But as soon as the guests poured in and the reception started, the place came alive!
After landing that sweet first kiss, Ben and Stephanie couldn’t wait to get the party started. The sky looked like it painted a mesmerizing sunset just for them! They took a few moments alone on the shoreline to simply relish in the moment. The smiles on their faces say it all! This destination wedding was everything they were hoping for and more – and what an honor it was to capture it for them to look back on with each passing year of their wonderful marriage. If we know anything about these two, we know their journey ahead is fill with lots of love, laughter, and adventure!
Congratulations, Ben and Stephanie! We wish you all the best!
