After your simcha, we hand select the images and provide you with an album design to get you started with the album process. This visual storyboard is our gift to you! We’ll work with you on your final design and selection of the custom offerings for your album cover so that the final product is a true reflection of your Bar or Bat Mitzvah. When you flip through the pages of your one-of-a-kind album, you will experience your special day as the images and design narrate the celebration.
Your Photography Partner
We often meet with our clients two to three weeks before the big day for formal portraits at your synagogue or temple. This provides the opportunity to capture photographs of your Bar or Bat Mitzvah child with the Torah as well as with your immediate family members. The benefit of scheduling this photography session on a separate day is to alleviate any pressure or time constraints on the day of your mitzvah celebration and may be requirement based on the specific photography guidelines of your synagogue.
We also offer casual family sessions at a location of your choice for a fun and relaxed photo shoot that is all about your family and your Bar or Bat Mitzvah child. It’s a wonderful way to get to know your Lead Photojournalist (and vice versa) as well as capture amazing photos in an outdoor setting. Do you have a favorite park or museum? Or perhaps you want to meet at your local roller skating rink or bowling alley? We can’t wait to hear what setting complements your family’s personality.
On the day of your Bat Mitzvah, Bar Mitzvah or B’nai Mitzvah, your Mitzvah Photographer team will document your service and reception from beginning to end. Unlike traditional photography, our documentary-style approach is hands off and unobtrusive. We do not stop the action, stage your guests or the subjects, or take awkward and disruptive table shots. Instead, our photographers are your quiet witnesses capturing all the people, emotions, events, and moments (intimate and grand) that organically unfold throughout the celebration. We are your trusted storytellers and your mitzvah photos will reflect the true and beautiful narrative of this most celebrated day.
