Historic beauty, modern style, unparalleled service, and flexible set-ups—what more could you want for a wedding venue? Next up on our list of wedding venue features: The Mayflower Hotel in downtown DC. This hotel serves as the largest luxury hotel in DC, with more years of operating experience than any other hotel in the area. We love this venue as Washington DC Wedding Photographer artists, because it offers the bride and groom (and their guests) prime access to all of DC’s amenities, landmarks, historic sites, and entertainment. The venue sits right next to the White House, and the hotel has hosted several presidents over the years (Harry S. Truman especially loved the hotel and called it DC’s “second best address” with the White House being the first—for the history buffs out there, read more here.)
A Venue for All Visions
Whether you’re planning an intimate reception or a breathtaking ball, The Mayflower has over 42,000 square feet of versatile space to accommodate your wedding vision. They offer a wide-range of flexible wedding packages to exceed your greatest expectations for a truly remarkable wedding day you’ll never forget. The Mayflower is an excellent option for the largest of celebrations with a ballroom that can host up to 800 guests! No need to narrow down your guest list, you can invite them all and relax knowing none of your friends or family will be excluded from celebrating with you
As photographers, we really love the bright, light-filled District Ballroom with its dazzling chandeliers, reflective mirrors, white walls, and gray accents. It really makes for exceptional photos. But all of their distinctly-styled spaces are phenomenal. Be sure to check them out! This hotel is so accommodating with vendors, and our team loves working here.
We’d love to help you capture the magic of the biggest day of your lives as a couple—from the tear in her father’s eye as he walks her down the aisle to his aunt’s unique dance moves at the reception, we focus on the details of the day so you don’t miss a thing. We aim to help you relive that day over and over again through photojournalism. Reach out to us, and let us know what you have in mind—we can’t wait to hear from you!
