Venue Feature | The Hay-Adams Hotel Washington DC Wedding Photographers

This venue highlight of The Hay-Adams features Nittu & Ashish’s Wedding Celebration in January 2019. We couldn’t believe that it snowed in DC on their wedding day—which must mean even more good luck than rain on your wedding day! The bride and groom walked across the street to the picturesque Lafayette Square Park in front of the White House for photos when the snow started to fall. They were both great sports—especially Nittu with her gorgeous two-piece traditional gown! Despite the chill, the gentle snowfall was a pleasant surprise and added an extra touch of romance to the day (and some fun texture to their wedding images). The moment was so magical that neither of them seemed to notice the cold. What a special experience!

About the hotel

The historic hotel fits right in next the nation’s most iconic buildings and structures located in the heart of Washington DC, just steps away from the White House. The hotel is known for its luxurious suites, stunning event spaces, and spectacular dining experiences, so it’s no wonder that this special couple chose The Hay-Adams as the place to celebrate their marriage.

As we stepped into the reception held in the popular Top of The Hay, we were immediately enthralled with the classic elegance of it all: a tall wedding cake, red roses, white table settings, and sparkling crystal. Huge windows surrounded the room letting in the soft evening light. As we looked out, we could see the DC skyline lit up in all of its glory—the White House and Washington Monument stood front and center.  This is by far the best view in Washington DC!

Our team at Wedding Photojournalism by Rodney Bailey had fun capturing all of the dancing and laughter that took place as the evening went on. It was easy to see that Nittu and Ashish are very loved as they were surrounded and supported by their closest friends and family on their wedding day.

Congratulations, you two! We wish you many years of happiness!
