Washington DC Wedding Venue Feature | Fairmont Hotel Wedding
Last month, we did a venue feature on one of our favorites: the Fairmont Hotel in Washington, DC, Georgetown. But describing the venue and all of its remarkable splendor does not do it justice. This is one you have to see to believe—especially with such a beautiful couple as the focus.
The Fairmont Hotel in Washington DC, Georgetown
Recently, we had the pleasure of capturing as wedding in the Colonnade Room. The bride looked radiant in her lace, capped-sleeve dress as she swirled around the dancefloor with her handsome new husband. We love the Colonnade Room because it really puts all the emphasis on the bride and groom. The elegantly-designed gazebo has a raised dance floor in the middle with a skylight overhead. Guests can watch from the side as the new couple enjoys their first waltz. Light streams in from the garden through 360-degree windows (every photographer’s dream for giving you perfect, timeless photos).
Everything about this wedding was flawless. The soft green hues of the bridesmaids’ dresses, neutral floral tones, and lush green garden lent itself to a bright and airy atmosphere. The couple looked like they were floating on air.
One of the great things about this venue is that there are plenty of seating arrangement and photo options. The gorgeous botanic garden surrounds the Colonnade room, so for larger weddings, the doors can be opened up for more seating in the garden. Set up a formal dinner beneath the chandelier while also giving guests (and the happy couple) room to walk around and take photos. The Colonnade Room is not huge, but it’s incredibly versatile and romantic. Cheers to this happy couple!
This Fairmont Hotel Wedding was simply stunning. A gorgeous venue featuring an even more gorgeous couple. Beautiful!
