Take a Deep Breath

It’s okay to be upset over the circumstances, but don’t allow it to hinder your momentum moving forward. Even though it feels like the world is on pause, try to remain grounded and patient as that will benefit you in the long run. Remember that you’re not alone and lean on your support system to help you through these stressful times. Take some time to practice breathing exercises, as they can come in handy when you’re feeling overwhelmed. It’s incredibly important to remind yourself that you can do this, and by practicing your breathing, you will reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.

Stay in Touch

No matter if you’re in self-isolation alone, with your partner, or your family, it’s more important than ever to stay connected. If your screen time has increased, it might feel as though you’re more connected than ever through social media, but that’s not always the case. While liking or commenting on a post provides small interactions, it’s not as beneficial as having a conversation with those close to you. Whether it’s through a text, a phone call, or video chat, communicating with your loved ones can provide you with a sense of normalcy. It’s also important to reach out to those you know that may be struggling. You could even reach out to other brides-to-be, as you can relate to what the other is experiencing and find solutions together.

Practice Self-Care

You’ve most likely seen the videos of women across the world coloring and cutting their hair at home. While it may be tempting to do it yourself, save yourself the trouble and find other ways to treat yourself at home. Take this time to perfect your skincare routine and test out new products to ensure you have glowing skin when you walk down the aisle. If you have skin concerns you’d like to address—such as fine lines or acne—consider skin treatments with an active ingredient of tretinoin. This ingredient works to target these concerns, as it helps the skin to renew itself and leave you with smoother, and clearer skin. You can also have fun with your skincare and make DIY face masks from the comfort of your kitchen; you’d be surprised what you can make with the ingredients you have in your pantry!

Now that you have more time on your hands, you may be feeling a bit stir crazy, which can ultimately add to any stress you’re already feeling. Participating in creative activities can be a healthy outlet to release any negative feelings and can even introduce you to a new hobby. If you’re in search of ideas, look for online classes to learn a new skill or hobby! Sites such as this one here offer a wide variety of classes to satisfy all your creative needs. Crafting is an excellent way to ease stress, and who knows, you might create something perfect for your future wedding!

Work Up A Sweat

Studies have proven that exercise is great to clear your mind, as well as reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. Luckily, it doesn’t matter if you prefer running, lifting weights, yoga, or another form of exercise as there are plenty of ways to get your blood pumping from the comfort of your own home. Maybe you’re looking for a new way to get your sweat on; if so, consider trying an online yoga class for a relaxing work out session.

Regroup and Start Planning

Thinking of your wedding may cause stress due to possible cancellations, changing dates, and the unfortunate reality that it might not occur as soon as you’d like. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be! Focus on the positive in this negative situation. Regroup and start planning again for the future. Use this as an opportunity to revisit all of your plans and make changes you may not have thought of before. For example, do you want your theme and decor to remain the same? If you’re changing the date for a new season, this is the perfect time to give the big day a new identity!
