Venue Feature | National Portrait Gallery Wedding Photographers Washington DC
8th St NW & F St NW, Washington, DC 20001
Washington, DC is filled with more unique wedding venues than we can count, but some are more ideal than others for hosting the wedding you’ve always dreamed of. As experienced wedding photographers, we’ve seen a little bit of everything over the years. To provide the best guidance and recommendations for our clients, we keep track of our favorite venues and love sharing a little about what makes them so great. We have a passion for helping you tell your story through photography, and you deserve only the best on your wedding day.
For a venue truly representative of DC, we love the stately, timeless look of The National Portrait Gallery. Not only is the National Portrait Gallery designed with stunning elegance, we find it uniquely symbolic of our own work, too. The museum itself showcases diverse forms of portraits of people who have shaped American history and culture into what it is today. Like us, the art tells the story. We utilize different mediums and styles, but we have a deep appreciation for this artistically historic venue. We have a feeling you’ll be equally enchanted.
For lighting and space, this museum is phenomenal. The Great Hall and Luce Center offer flexible space for designing an event that best fits your style, theme and needs. However, when the weather is nice, many couples opt for an outdoor reception in The Courtyard due to the romantic ambiance. The courtyard was designed with special events in mind, so they have all of the accommodations and access you need for hosting a dinner reception or cocktail & hors d’oeuvres celebration. Their staff is wonderful when it comes to recommending and coordinating with vendors. We also love that they offer early loading and setup times compared to other venues.
