Valentine’s Day Inspiration
Valentine’s Day Inspiration…
In preparation for Cupid’s favorite holiday, we loved teaming up with the talented Hillary Miko at Syzygy Events to photograph her movie-inspired spin on a DYI Valentine’s Day for Capitol File Magazine.
“How to Do Valentine’s Day at Home, Presented by Syzygy Events”
“With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we turned to Syzygy Events events designer Hillary Miko to help our very own Capitol File editor Amy Moeller celebrate the romantic occasion with her husband, Aaron.
“At Syzygy Events, our clients bring endless sources of inspiration to guide us in designing their special occasions. When Aaron reached out to us for Valentine’s Day help, he told us that his wife’s favorite movie was You’ve Got Mail. Since his significant other is Capitol File editor Amy Moeller, we were happy to give them a few tips for an early Valentine’s Day celebration.”
“Transforming a space is all about the details. Mix in a few red and pink pillows to set the mood. Meg Ryan’s character Kathleen Kelly loves daisies in the film, dubbing them ‘friendliest flower.’ This February 14, pick up a few bouquets of the cheerful white blooms rather than roses, which are often 300 percent more expensive now than they are during the rest of the year.”
